About The Economic Sense (TES)

The Economic Sense (TES) is a Phnom Penh–based startup media platform delivering timely coverage and in-depth analysis of economics, current affairs, geopolitics, technology, and personal finance, with a strong focus on how global developments shape Cambodia and Southeast Asia.

What We Publish

Currently, TES produces content across multiple platforms:

  • Khmer/English-language news and commentary on Facebook/LinkedIn/Telegram/X

  • English-language analysis and feature stories on Substack

  • Video and podcast content on YouTube (tes_kh)

Our Mission

Our mission is to open windows of economic opportunity for young Cambodians in an increasingly globalised world.

We aim to achieve this by delivering:

  • Up-to-date information and breaking news

  • Clear, contextual analysis

  • Practical insights into global economics, politics, and technology

Through this approach, we help our audience build strong critical-thinking skills, better navigate global opportunities, and contribute meaningfully to Cambodia’s social and economic development.
